Double gray cardboard can also be used to make double gray cake boards.

The size of the cake base board is generally 4 inches to 20 inches.Because the cake base board is usually only 3-5mm, it cannot support multiple layers or too large cakes.

We called it double thick cake card.However, because the production process of the double thick cake card is much more complicated than the cake base board, the price is more expensive, so it is usually the people in Europe who need this cake board. Like the corrugated cake board, the double gray cake board will also be easy to get wet and soft.

MDF Cake Board
MDF, also known as Masonite board, is a cross between paper and wood paper. Because it is wood, its material is much harder than corrugated board and double gray board, and the weight is also heavier. The thickness of MDF board is usually between 3mm and 5mm.
MDF boards are the same size as double gray cake boards, generally ranging from 4 inches to 20 inches. Unlike the corrugated material of the cake drum, its edge can only be wrapped, not the edge. Because of its small thickness, it is impossible to wrap the edge of the MDF board.
Because MDF board is a wooden board, it will not be like corrugated board and double gray board, easy to get wet and soft. If you don't stain its surface, it can be recycled for a long time.
About the surface pattern of MDF cake board, many people like marble or wood MDF board. In this way, the hardness of MDF board can simulate the effect of marble slab and wood, and achieve better results at a lower cost. The price of MDF board is more expensive, and it is more popular in Australia.
Because Australia is used to using hard cake boards. At the same time, the load-bearing effect of MDF board is also the best of the three materials, whether it is a big cake or a multi-layer cake, MDF board can withstand.
